There is a reason that what I have is called a terminal degree. I’m done. Good luck with your studies. My boys go back tomorrow (4th grade and 7th grade) and I am thrilled. Them, not so much.

Not the target audience probably, but I guess fall classes start today. I’m a PhD student studying materials science at UF. Never really left for the summer though, so I’m not really “back”.

I’m back in today. Getting some cheap credits at Ivy Tech Community College before I transfer next semester. Then I get to actually start my motorsports engineering degree.

It’s a place you go and give people a ridiculous amount of money for them to act like they are in some way preparing you for something.

Don’t tell them that though, they may get offended and, don’t call parking passes a “fucking racket.” They don’t like that either.

There is Law enforcement in Canada? I figured if something bad happened everyone apologized profusely for a little while and went about there business.

Heh, criminology is more about the crime and a bit about the enforcement (unless you’re into labelling theories, but that’s another thing). And yup.

Fun fact from my policing class: when the NWMP (now the RCMP) was being founded, the dude running the show said they needed about three hundred dudes to police the lands between Ontario (think from Sault Ste. Marie) and BC. And north. He was optimistic.

Currently an active duty army officer, but they are letting me go back to graduate school this year at Columbus State University. Masters of Science in Organizational leadership.

5 years ago when I graduate from college I said I'd never go back...now I am and very happy about it! Funny how life changes.

The first time I met my advisor he told me to try not to be the loud old guy that pisses off the professors. I said that wasn’t my plan, he thinks it will just happen that way.

I’ve found that the “loud old guy” (or lady) can be a really fun student to teach, as long as they are respectful of other students. (Unfortunately, I’ve seen the opposite, as well.)

Forget your advisor’s advice (they may have been joking?), and you do you.

Eternal student here, 2nd year in Med school, Universidad De Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. I actually moved back to Mexico for this, it’s a public university and government funded so I pay like 50 USD a semester lol although you have to go through a shit ton of filters to be accepted.

Wright State University studying Mass Communications with a minor in Marketing.

This is my 4 year of college and I’m not due to finish for a couple more years. An unfortunate case of being in the wrong program/school and nearly failing out during spring makes things a little weird and long.

Also I don't start until 8/31. Long summer has been nice.
